Discover the nature and canals of Giethoorn

Bed & Boot Mol Groenewegen is located in the centre of Giethoorn. It is the ideal place to start your day on the water, through the main canal in the characteristic town and into the quiet of nature in National Park Wieden-Weerribben. By boat, you can reach Lake Bovenwiede within a few minutes, a perfect place for swimming, dipping your toes in the water or having a picnic. The area is shallow throughout! You will receive a thorough explanation and a clear map, as well as free kids life jackets upon request.

The route has been clearly marked with coloured arrows and beacons. Along the famous main canal and on other places along the route, you will find many restaurants and terraces on the water. You will also find picnic platforms, a picnic island (with a small beach, quay and sanitary facilities), reliable swimming water and for instance an observatory. It’s an Eldorado for bird watchers!
